Hello.
Students should use the essay added here to annotate. They should be finding the parts of an argumentative essay in the sample essay. They should label part of the essay using the list added shown here. For example, label the first paragraph Introduction. Then, find the thesis statement in the introduction. Then, in paragraphs 2 and 3, find the claims and evidence. In paragraph 4 find the counterclaim and rebuttal. In the conclusion, find where the claims are restated.
